  • Under “Save to,” choose the folder where you wish to save the backup copy of the Adobe Flash Player key.
  • Under “File Name,” type in a name for the backup file.
  • Ensure that under “Export,” range value selected Selected Branch.
  • Tap “Save.”
  • The file will be stored with the extension .reg.
  • You now have a backup of your Adobe Flash Player-related registry entry.

S_COM_PORT_OPEN_FAIL (1003)

  • It could also be an issue with the USB cable and changing the cable for firmware would help with that.

  • It can also occur when flashing the wrong version for a different amount of memory.

  • The error is not so different from error 1003 and the solutions are the same. Altering the firmware version to v5 might also help.

S_UNSUPPORTED_VER_OF_DA (1022)

  • You have to use a more recent version of SP FlashTool.

S_UNSUPPORTED_OPERATION (1040)

  • Scatter file doesn’t fit the device. For instance, the name contains 6577, and the phone is 6573.

S_CHKSUM_ERROR (1041)

To rectify this one:

  • Head to “Help.”
  • Tap “Open Logs Folder.” and get rid of all the logs.
  • After that, head to the folder with the firmware and delete the file “Checksum.ini“.
  • Flash again Format + Download.
