How To Hack A Facebook Account

Everyone knows Facebook that free and popular social networking site that makes it easy for users to connect and share posts with their friends and family members.

But what some people don’t know, is that it isn’t extremely difficult to hack a Facebook account, and since Facebook is a popular social media platform, there is an increased interest from cybercriminals to hack accounts.

There are some common vulnerabilities leading to the easy hack of Facebook accounts, and they are listed below:

1. Weak Passwords

Hackers can easily hack Facebook accounts by guessing or performing a brute force attack if the password is easy and commonly used such as a nickname, phone number, partner’s name, pet name, just to name a few. Once the hacker has obtained a password, they have the ability to do whatever they want with your account.

2. Phishing Emails

Know this: “Facebook will never ask you for your password in an email or send you a password as an attachment”

Phishing emails are an easy way for attackers to hack Facebook accounts. An attacker can create fake emails to make it look like they were sent from Facebook. These are some examples of what the emails may look like:

1. Notifications about friend requests, messages, events, photos, and videos
2. False claims that you went against their Community Standards
3. Warnings that something will happen to your account if you don’t update it or take a certain action
4. Claims or offers that sound too good to be true (such as winning a Facebook lottery)

3. Hack Facebook account when on the same WiFi

It is indeed very possible for someone to hack a Facebook account if they are using the same WiFi on Android devices.

Hackers do this by using applications like Faceniff to intercept web-sessions profiles created over different Wi-Fi Networks and get confidential data of the victim.

This means they can hack Facebook accounts connected to the same WiFi network and do whatever they want.

You can protect yourself from such a serious attempt to hack your Facebook Account by enabling HTTPS for every service wherever it is available. Make sure to always protect your internet connection with a VPN whenever you decide to use a public WiFi service at places like coffee shops, restaurants, and airports.

• Can a Facebook account be hacked with an email?

There can be grave consequences when an attacker gains access to your email. Such access gives the offenders access to all your digital contact lists and most importantly, becomes the open doorway to any accounts connected with the email.

In this way, the hacker can easily hack Facebook accounts with email. The above goes to show why so much stress is laid on protecting your email with strong passwords and 2-step verification.

4. Remote Keyloggers

A hacker first needs to access your mobile device or laptop to install a piece of software to record whatever you type on your device.

Once installed, anything that is typed (password, login credentials, bank information, etc.) will be recorded and can be viewed by the hacker.

This is a hidden technique for an attacker to hack Facebook accounts. For example, if an attacker has somehow hacked into your laptop and installed a keylogger software, then anything you type will be recorded for the attacker.

Not only would your Facebook credentials be recorded but also your bank credentials, email accounts, and whatever other accounts you have.

Yes, hackers can easily hack your Facebook account in minutes and every data that is connected to it. Messenger is the free mobile messaging app developed by Facebook so that means any attacker who is able to hack a Facebook account can hack Messenger as well.

This is a serious danger as Messenger contains personal history, photos, and videos of every user. Attackers usually use the following ways to hack Facebook accounts and Messenger:

Keylogging and Phishing- Real-time loss of data and all computer activity through keystrokes and fake links

Hacker Apps like Spyier and PhoneSpector. Anyone who is willing to put a little money into monitoring your activity can easily hack a Facebook account through such apps on Android and iPhone.

• Hacking Using Cookies- Cookies allow websites to retain the data for an extended period on a browser and also provide classified information to monitor whole navigation sessions. Hackers use the same Wi-Fi network and hack Facebook accounts including Messenger.

5. Denial of Service (DoS)

A denial of service attack “is a malicious attempt to affect the availability of a targeted system, such as a website or application, to legitimate end-users” (AWS). Attackers will typically generate a large volume of packets or requests to overwhelm Facebook. When this type of attack occurs, users will have issues accessing Facebook and won’t be able to log in.

Hackers are always one step ahead in finding new techniques where prevention might not be possible at first. Therefore, users and organizations (as the last vulnerability is targeted towards organizations) should make sure that they do everything they can to ensure that their accounts and site are secure.

If an attacker manages to hack a Facebook account with email, they can ruin your online reputation, reset all your other account passwords, gain access to credit information and even delete other accounts like Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, and more!

Hackers can use the stolen information they get after they hack their Facebook accounts to perform fraudulent online activities that might even include theft of money.
