Beginning with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, this smartphone will definitely be a force to reckon with in the budget phone market because its reasonable price and amazing specifications make it a must-buy. For only $179, users will have access to a 6.43in AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

In addition to that, they’ll get a 180Hz touch sampling rate plus its manufacturer said it can reach a brightness of 1000 nits. As for cameras, there are 5 of them, even if the regular combination of 2Mp macro and depth sensors on the back add up to that number. However, its 50Mp main and 8Mp ultra-wide-angle is still everything to write home about.

If you only care about its internal capabilities, the Redmi Note 11 is actually powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and it provides 33W fast charging to its 5000mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, you’ll get from 0-100% within 60 minutes.

The Memory and storage you’ll be working with are up 6- and 128GB respectively, with about 3 different SKUs available.

As if all of that is not enough, you are guaranteed other specs like stereo speakers, microSD card slot, side fingerprint scanner, and IP53 splash-proofing. Its superb design is even available in various colors, including Granite Grey, but sadly, there is no 5G support.

As you already know, Pro always comes with more, so this model was expected to deliver a better screen at 6.67in, and even if it is home to the same AMOLED and Full HD+, users will have access to a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. As far as brightness is concerned, you are guaranteed 1200 nits.

You can also expect 3 cameras with no depth sensor with this one, however, the main camera is 108Mp and the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695.

Memory and storage go to 8- and 128GB, and you’ll enjoy other top features like stereo speakers plus a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. As per charging, users are paying for 67W charging, which will definitely compete well with rival phones sold at its price.

According to Xiaomi, users will be able to charge the 5000mAh battery to over half in just 15-minutes, and a charger would be provided in its box.

Redmi Note 11 Pro (4G):

This device comes with the Helio G96 chip and its 2 Cortex-A76 CPU cores are a couple of generations behind the Snapdragon (with two A78-derived Kryos). This device and the Pro 5G option both launched with MIUI 13 based on Android 11.

Features to expect here include a 6.67” AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution (20:9), 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, plus a display that supports the DCI-P3 wide color gamut and has a typical brightness of 700 nits (1,200 nits peak). The Pro 4G comes protected with a Gorilla Glass 5 while the rest of the phone is rated IP53 for dust and splash resistance.

The main camera on the back possesses the 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor, 1/1.52” in size with 0.7µm pixels and support for 9-in-1 binning (2.1µm). And this sensor supports zooming up to 3x natively, which will be very useful since there is no dedicated lens. You also get an 8MP ultrawide camera (118°), a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, even if phone users hardly brag about those nowadays.

This model is powered by 5,000 mAh batteries, which support 67W fast charging, and it is expected to go from 0 to more than 50% in about 15 minutes. It comes with a charger, a USB-C cable, and added connectivity, including NFC, an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), and Bluetooth 5.1.

If you compare this year’s models with their most recent predecessors, we didn’t get a Note 10 Pro 5G, however, the Redmi Note 10 Pro came with a Snapdragon 732G chipset, an identical 6.7” 120Hz AMOLED, almost the same camera setup and a 5,020mAh battery with 33W charging. The Note 10 5G didn’t meet expectations in terms of display (6.5” 90Hz LCD), camera (48MP main, no ultra-wide), and battery (5,000 mAh but only 18W charging) though.

Conclusion:

2022 is the year we finally get a Redmi Note series that will not make users choose between a quality screen/camera or quality performance/connectivity. And if you are not fully prepared to break the bank for a phone this year, just go for the non-Pro models.
